Delivery

We deliver free within 10 miles of WF9 1AX. There is no paid shipping anywhere; if you are outside the radius, you collect from us.

What counts as inside the radius

How it arrives

Frozen solid, in an insulated box, straight to your freezer. We arrange the delivery slot with you once your order is packed.

Collection

Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 10am to 6pm, from WF9 1AX.
Choose collection at checkout and your order is packed and frozen, ready for you to pick up on the next collection day. It keeps in the freezer for as long as you need, so there is no rush.

Minimum order

Twenty units. A single chub is one unit, a kilo of treats is one unit, and a box of 20 chubs is twenty units on its own.
The minimum is what makes free delivery work. Chubs and treats mix freely, so twelve chubs and eight kilos of treats is a valid order, and so is one box.

Storage

Raw is easy to keep right. Treat it exactly as you would meat for your own kitchen.

On arrival

Straight into the freezer, at −18°C or colder. Keep raw food in its own drawer or bag, away from your own food. Frozen, it keeps for six months with no loss of quality.

Defrosting

Move tomorrow’s chub to the fridge 12 to 24 hours ahead, in a sealed container on the bottom shelf. Never defrost on the worktop, and never in the microwave: it cooks the outside and changes the food.

Once defrosted

Keep it in the fridge at 4°C or below and use within two to three days. Do not refreeze a chub that has fully defrosted. If it smells wrong or looks off, bin it.

At mealtime

Serve at fridge temperature. Anything not eaten within twenty minutes goes back in the fridge. Wash the bowl in hot soapy water after every meal.

Hygiene

Wash your hands before and after handling raw food and after handling your dog. Keep separate utensils and containers for raw, and wipe down surfaces it has touched. This is the Food Standards Agency’s advice and it is what we do ourselves.

Who should take extra care

Young children, pregnant women, older people and anyone with a weakened immune system are more at risk from the bacteria found in raw meat. Keep them away from preparation and bowls, and wash up promptly.
